"The Castle"

This edifice on the top of Cecily Hill is not a "castle" at all, of course, but a Victorian army barracks.  It is now owned by the Bathurst Estate.  For a while it was a satellite site of Cirencester College.  In 2013 it became the HQ of the comparison website Money.co.uk. ; the interior was promptly treated to a lavish but laddish makeover in Pop Art style.  The firm was sold off in 2017 and promptly decamped back to London, so the barracks is currently with Whitmarsh Lockhart "to let". Perhaps the new owners will manage a more sympathetic decor?
