Watermoor Station was on the Midland and South Western Junction Railway (M&SWJR) which linked Cheltenham and and Andover. The GWR took over the line in 1923 and it finally closed in 1961. The station has now entirely disappeared under the bypass.
Luckily you don't need as much imagination to conjure up railways as you do to recreate the Roman landscape. There are shed-loads of old photographs, and no shortage of enthusiasts to collect and post them.
