Sometimes said to be the tallest yew hedge in Britain, sometimes the tallest in Europe, sometimes "probably" the tallest in the whole world.... The figures are: 40 feet high, between 6 and 15 feet wide and 150 yards long; it takes two men 12 days to trim. It dates from about 1710 but no-one seems to have any more information. Apparently it produces nearly a ton of clippings each year, which are put to good use to produce the cancer drug taxol.
